Become a member and join us in building The Wa Story community.
- Q: How do I sign up for membership? A: You can register directly on our Membership page.
Subscriptions & Cancellations
- Q: Is there a free trial? When will I be charged? A: Yes—the Standard plan includes a 3-day free trial. You will be asked to add a payment method at checkout. Your first paid charge occurs when the 3-day trial ends, unless you cancel before renewal.
- Q: What happens after I cancel? A: Canceling stops future renewals, so you will not be charged for the next billing period. You will keep access until the end of your current billing period (or until the end of your trial, if you cancel during the trial).
- Q: Do you offer refunds? A: Payments are non-refundable, except where required by law. If you believe you were charged in error (for example, duplicate billing), please contact us with your sign-up email, billing descriptor, and the most recent charge date/amount.
- Q: What does “Immediate access after payment” mean? A: It means your access to members-only content/tools is enabled right after successful payment (or right after signup if you start a trial). If you don’t see access unlocked, try logging out and back in. If it still doesn’t unlock, contact us and include your sign-up email and the locked page URL.
- Q: How do I cancel a website subscription (The Wa Story)? A: Log in and go to My Profile → Subscriptions to cancel. If you cannot find an active subscription, please contact us via our Contact Form and include your sign-up email, billing descriptor, and the most recent charge date/amount (plus your user ID if available). Please do not send full card numbers.
- Q: How do I find where to cancel my subscription? A: The Wa Story subscriptions are managed on thewastory.com. To confirm, check the billing descriptor (the merchant name shown next to the charge) on your card/bank statement. If it shows THEWASTORY, THE WA STORY, or STRIPE* (often followed by our name), it is a website subscription and you can cancel by logging in and using your Profile page. If you don’t see those descriptors, please contact us and include the merchant name shown on your statement.
- Q: Are Apple Pay / Google Pay the same as App Store / Google Play? A: No. Apple Pay and Google Pay are payment methods used on websites. App Store and Google Play subscriptions are managed in your Apple/Google subscription settings.
