Hokkaido region guide update

WHAT’S NEW

Hokkaido region page – updated with spot search

The Hokkaido travel–planning page has been updated with a new Spot Search section. This page has been part of The Wa Story for a long time, but until now it focused mainly on curated highlights and cultural guidance.

To make it more practical for planning, we’ve added a flexible search tool that helps you explore places by:

  • Season – Spring / Summer / Autumn / Winter
  • Area – Sapporo, Otaru, Furano–Biei, Hakodate, and more
  • Keyword – for example: onsen, night view, lavender, shrine, seafood

The goal is to help you quickly shortlist spots that match your travel season and style, while keeping Hokkaido’s cultural stories front and center.

If you’re considering a northern route or simply love browsing Japan’s wide-open landscapes, take a look at the updated page:

Similar region-wide updates for Tohoku and Kanto are coming soon.
